This plein air watercolor was done in the desert northwest of Big Bend National Park. With the temperature soaring over 100 over the course of the morning we had to get on site early. This particular scene only lasts minutes so it required two visits at same site and same time. I love the vibrancy of the edge where the sun strikes the landscape and begins to lighten up the foreground.
